Mechanical Engineer
Basic Function (Purpose of Position)
To assist the Engineering Department, which is responsible for the design and creation of new products that meet or exceed industry requirements, as well as custom designed equipment engineered to meet client's specifications. Responsible for current products sustainability.
Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties
- Design and test instrumentation to meet or exceed industry requirements and those of our clients.
- Complete Engineering Change Requests as assigned by an Engineering Manager or Director.
- Research and specify components required for special projects and/or applications.
- Estimate costs to manufacture new products and instrumentation designed for specific requirements.
- Provide technical support to the OFI manufacturing group.
- Observe all company procedures/policy requirements.

Application of Knowledge and Skills
To apply mechanical engineering design to create new products which meet industry standards.
Training / Education
Minimum requirements include
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Technical machining/fabrication drawings and solid 3d modeling required.
- Experience with machine shop processes and sheet metal design a plus.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant mechanical design.
- Pressure vessel design/analysis a plus.
Warehouse Operations Manager
Job Purpose
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of activities, including receiving incoming material, pulling orders for sales and work orders, and maintaining inventory and associated records. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist in daily warehouse areas, including:
- Filling customer orders
- Satisfying internal requirements (Manufacturing and Engineering)
- Ensuring accuracy of orders and supporting documentation
- Receiving incoming material
- Filling work orders
- Building kits
- Receiving finished goods into inventory
- Ensuring inventory transactions are accurate
- Overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities
- Develop and maintain department work instructions for all warehouse activities
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow
- Interpret company policies to workers
- Enforce safety regulations
- Recommend measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency and accuracy of department
- Continuously improve warehouse operations through use of lean management practices
- Meet with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments and serve internal customers
- Assist other departments with setting up processes that affect material into and out of the warehouse
- Perform necessary disciplinary action when needed with standard company corrective action documentation
- Manage modular parts storage system
- Perform additional tasks when assigned by supervisor
- Handle and manage chemicals and reagents
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum of Associate's degree
- 3 - 5 years of relevant warehouse experience (including 1+ year of previous supervisory experience)
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure and process flows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and ERP systems
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree
- APICS Certification
- Familiarity with Global Shop Solutions ERP system
Working Conditions
Warehouse environment in a light assembly and distribution based corporation.
Physical Requirements
Ability to meet physical requirements, including:
- A variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day
- Lifting and pulling inventory from shelves
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Occasional climbing of ladders
- Occasional use of fork lift and/or pallet jack
